I interviewed Tonybet "MVC: a true web3 mammoth."

Hey guys,

I think you all know Tonybet

He's a member of the DAO committee and a key player in promoting $SPACE in Twitter spaces.

He has some exciting ambitions for MVC, and you'll love it.

Read this:

JACQUES : Can you briefly introduce yourself,( who are you, what do you do, how long have you been in web3, etc…)?

Tonybet: I am a web3 anon going by the username Tonybet.

I am the founder of LucidPunks a Solana NFT DeFi Project. I also manage $iSOL, solana’s first index token.

I have been in crypto since 2017.

JACQUES :Ok great a lot going on Solana so.

Why MVC?

Tonybet: Solana has a lot of missing aspects and also has the negative cloud of early VCs that control the price and direction of Solana.

Solana champions the ethos of decentralisation but in theory lacks the community or technical setup as a decentralised hub.

However, the concerns of decentralisation are none with MVC. Its ability to scale and work in a faster and more convenient way - via UTXO accounting - means it bests Solana on 2/4 trilemmas by miles; speed and decentralisation. Regarding scaling mvc becomes more optimum as users grow.

Hashrate becomes stronger as miners grow. The opposite for Solana, dilution of holders increases as more validators come onboard. Blockchain gets slower as users increase.

JACQUES : oh great, thank you for the precision of your answer and for the comparison which makes sense.

Is there a use case on this blockchain that you think will be essential?

Tonybet: Not many see it but I think the true win for MVC will be its ability to allow EVM chains to easily access native BTC.

Even with WBTC the slowness of Btc mean it’s hard to oracle with or use other common security features to mitigate the attack on wbtc.

With native and fast Btc in MVC - wbtc can be deployed heavily and the current wormhole safety can be applied as MVC is fast enough to answer oracle queries and resolve a contract exploit without paying millions in fees

JACQUES : It's not really in the spotlight yet.

There's a lot to do.

and a number of opportunities that will reshape DeFi.

You've already answered a bit of the next question, so I'll ask it anyway:

What future do you see for MVC?

Tonybet: I see MVC as a viable side chain that leverages demand for mBTC pairs over stables on Eth.

I see MVC as burgeoning nft and gaming hub.

I see MVC as Layer1 for multiple sub chains built on top of the MVC base.

Also as the home for brc20 and ordinals.

A true web3 mammoth.

JACQUES : Tony, you're an inspiration! A true web3 mammoth love this

I'd use that expression again if you'd let me!

last question: What is a committee member's role?

Tonybet: The role of committee member will continue to evolve and change as MVC grows.

At the current level, the role of the committee is split into different hats but some join hats include:

Verifying audits of POB spending

Audits on other background actions related to CEXes

My specific role is around package and redistributing knowledge of MVC in digestible and easy to understand formats via podcasts and activity in the tg.

I believe these roles will continue to grow as the platform of MVC grows and demand Committee member time becomes more in demand by the MVCDAO and POB actions

JACQUES : excellent answer, thank you.

a final word?

Tonybet: Yes.

MVC will be a eureka moment for crypto rather than a known catalyst by the masses.

The goals of the core teams are improving in their relevance to the future if BTC.

The MVC community is still forming and will take a little longer to establish as a homogenous group.

So the question is what comes first, the community or the relevance to Btc.

JACQUES : well that's great thanks for this incredible exchange!

It was a pleasure talking with you.

I hope you enjoyed this discussion!

I'm more inspired than ever
