We continue our series of interviews with the indispensable Discord moderator and DAO committee member: Thurman Murman.

“JACQUES: Can you briefly introduce yourself?

Thurman Murman: Of course.

I am Thurman Murman, a crypto enthusiast and miner, I absolutely love crypto currency and all the fascinating projects built within it.

I moderate the SPACE Discord and try to help as much of the community as possible. I've been in web3 partially for a long time now, but full the time last 3 years

JACQUES: Oh great, thanks for this presentation!

Why MVC?

TM: Tbh one day I tried to transact on BTC, after 2 txns and $80 in gas fees I realised how ridiculous this was for anyone new to want to come use and stay within the ecosystem.

MVC will solve that issue.

JACQUES: Yes, and it's getting worse all the time! when you consider that adoption is coming via Bitcoin. Small wallets and newcomers won't find any interest.

Ok great

Is there a use case on this blockchain that you think will be essential? (you kind of answered this question, I'll ask anyway)

TM: Obviously the scaling aspect. But I would love to see some Defi built upon MVC chain.

So much wealth and liquidity resides in BTC but it is only used as a store of value right now.

Imagine being able to store you BTC safely whilst earning on it too. Wouldn't that be nice.

JACQUES: That would be amazing indeed.

What future do you see for MVC?

TM: I see MVC as the first port of call for millions of new users to BTC.

Introducing so many new users with simplicity, affordable gas fees and engaging DApps all within the MVC ecosystem.

JACQUES: Yes, it's a vision I share with you. There are a lot of possibilities and that's what we like here.

Last question, what is a committee member's role?

TM: A committee members role is to safeguard and overwatch the internal ongoings of the MVC chain whilst also welcoming any and all newcomers into the ecosystem with open arms.

JACQUES: Excellent answer!
